Indigenous Language Revitalization Scholarship Deadline

The Department of Education, Culture and Employment is currently accepting applications for the Indigenous Language Revitalization Scholarship.
Scholarships of $5,000 will be awarded to help students offset the costs of completing a certificate, diploma, degree program, or other training that supports Indigenous language revitalization.
Priority will be given to students enrolled in programs offered by accredited post-secondary institutions pursuing studies in Indigenous languages, professional development in interpretation/translation, or a career in a field that will help revitalize Indigenous languages.
Applications will be considered according to criteria outlined below:
Applicants that have indicated they plan to return to the NWT to pursue a career in Indigenous language revitalization; and
Applicants that can already demonstrate a commitment to Indigenous language revitalization.
