YELLOWKNIFE August 22, 2021 – The Office of Chief Public Health Officer (OCPHO) is announcing new COVID-19 exposure locations in Fort Providence, NT.
Please see the following locations and follow the required actions as soon as possible.
The OCPHO advises anyone in community of Fort Providence and across the territory to also isolate immediately and arrange for testing if they have symptoms. However, those people at the following locations during the times outlined at higher risk of being a contact of someone with COVID-19.
Self monitor. Wear a mask in all public places. If symptoms develop, immediately isolate and arrange testing.
M&R Grocery Store
August 19
11:30 am – 12 (noon)
Partially/unvaccinated:
Isolate for 10 days from exposure and get tested.
Fully vaccinated:
Self monitor. Wear a mask in all public places. If symptoms develop, immediately isolate and arrange testing.
Big River Gas Bar (food and beverage area)
August 17
2:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Partially/unvaccinated:
Isolate for 10 days from exposure and get tested.
Fully vaccinated:
Self monitor. Wear a mask in all public places. If symptoms develop, immediately isolate and arrange testing.
Health Centre Notice
Anyone who requires care or services from the health centre should call in advance. Please do not show up at the health centre to request testing if you are not symptomatic. If have symptoms of COVID-19 isolate at home and call ahead for testing. Anyone who is identified as a contact who needs testing will be contacted.
