Staff can undertake limited research in response to specific inquiries and will provide guidance on archival holdings and how materials at the NWT Archives may aid your research. Please make your reference as specific as possible.

Ordering copies
To order copies of archival materials, please send an email to nwtarchives@gov.nt.ca with the item numbers (catalogue number) that you want along with your contact information and an invoice will be sent to you. For more information about ordering, copyright, and reproduction fees please see here.
Visiting the Archives
The Reading Room is open by appointment. Please contact the NWT Archives at (867) 767-9347 ext. 71211 or email nwtarchives@gov.nt.ca.
We require an appointment to give time to prepare for your reference request and possibly retrieve records from off-site storage. In addition, reading room space may be limited. For more information on visiting the Archives, please see here.
